2D CAD - Usually the starting point of any project, 2D CAD provides a versatile platform to create vectors for other software programs, create fast renders to approve designs and materials, and allow alteration to artwork through digital painting. 2D CAD also plays a major role in preparing artwork files for print.
3D CAD - 3D CAD allows the designer to fully analyse a product by viewing it from all angles. Textures can be applied that follow the shape of the model rather than appearing projected on and distorted around curves. In terms of die design, 3D CAD provides sophisticated evaluation tools such as height analysis to highlight any potential stamping problems.
Rendering - Rendering allows the product to be displayed in various different materials and finishes to enable the client to make an informed decision on what they require from the final product.
Animation: Combining the ability to see the final product from all angles and in the chosen materials and finishes, animation allows the client to get the best understanding of the product, short of physically touching it. The animation can follow a defined path around the product, highlighting certain areas of interest, or act as a turntable maintaining the same viewpoint throughout.
